SL-E Pump Mixing: Achieve Perfect Consistency
Start by carefully mixing SL-E powder with cool water at a ratio of 4.5 to 5 liters per 22.7 kg bag for small patches. Adjust this ratio accordingly for larger mixes.
For mechanized mixing, utilize either a continuous, pump and hose or batch mixer with the same ratio for consistent results. Ensure thorough blending to guarantee smooth application and efficient construction progress.
SL-E Application: Achieve Optimal Results
Maintain a wet edge by adjusting pour width during application. Spread SL-E in a ribbon pattern onto prepared surfaces. The working time is approximately 15 minutes at 23°C (73°F), varying with temperature and humidity.
Use a gauge spreader to achieve desired depth and allow self-leveling within 10 to 15 minutes. For featheredging and touch-ups, employ a smoothing tool. Apply SL-E up to 38 mm (1 1/2") thick; for additional layers, wait until the first layer achieves walkable hardness.
